Museo Archeologico Provinciale Ribezzo

Covering several floors, this impressive museum is home to well-documented exhbits including no less than three thousand bronze sculptures in the Hellenistic style. Other exhibits include 7th century terracotta figurines, Roman statues, and archeological finds from under the sea.

Tempio di San Giovanni al Sepolcro

Dating back to the 12th century, this Norman stone church features the traditional circular floor plan so beloved by the Templars. Its evocative structure is bare and austere with medieval frescoes adorning the walls. Once a popular stopover for the Crusaders who were visiting the Holy Land, the church is also home to huge gardens at its rear.

Castello Alfonsino di Brindisi

Located on Isola Sant’Andrea, this historic castle was built during the 1500s to protect Brindisi’s port entrance and to serve as a fortified defense for the town. With its keeps, walkways, and towers, the structure’s battlements boast amazing views over the port itself and the sea. In the castle’s centre, there’s also a picturesque enclosed port with a single arch forming its only access point.
